Hades, Lord of the Underworld

Hades, the eldest of the sons of Kronos and lord of the Underworld in Greek Mythology. Designing Hades posed an difficult challenge. We wanted to avoid misrepresenting Hades as a necromancer since he typically didn’t want anyone to leave his domain. Instead he can summon Pneuma to protect himself in battle. Ever diligent, Hades is a reminder that no one cheats death, and those who attempt to will find their afterlife most unpleasant.

While Hades does not control who lives or who dies, Thanatos does. When you sense him looming over your shoulder, you know your time has come. The River Stix acts as a gateway to the afterlife, where the dead pay the ferryman to cross. This is the first of many barricades that prevent unwanted trespassers from entering the underworld. So if you wish to attack Hades, you too will have to pay the price.
